DFG Funding Roadmap: From Postdoc to Academic Independence
We cordially invite you to an interactive career session with Dr. Regina Nickel, Program Director for
the Life Science Goup 2: Microbiology, Immunology and Neurosciences at the Deutsche
Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).
Dr. Nickel will share valuable insights into DFG funding programs tailored for early-career
researchers, highlighting key pathways to scientific independence-including the Walter Benjamin,
Emmy Noether, and Heisenberg programs. In addition, drawing on her long-standing experience, she
will share practical guidance on writing a compelling grant proposal.
