Apply as a Mentee
VAAMentoring is a tailor-made mentoring program of VAAM for PhD students from the second year onwards as well as postdocs for professional orientation and career counseling. The counseling takes place in selected tandems, each consisting of a mentee and a mentor, and is intended to run for approximately 2 years. 1-2 personal meetings of the tandems are planned per year, one of which will take place at the VAAM annual conference, others according to personal agreement and need.
The program is designed for individuals who wish to remain in academic research as well as those seeking a different path. Please note that one year of VAAM membership is required for participation as a mentee.
The program was introduced at the VAAM Annual Meeting 2022 and the first mentees were accepted in spring 2022. Mentee applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and the next application deadline is April 30, 2024.
